The Story:
Hakufu Sonsaku of “Ikki Tousen,” with Cincinnati Bengals orange alternate gear. I'm also trying out a new style for these as some have expressed concern over the "PJ Style" that I've done before.

My Take:
As far as this series goes, I’ve done a number of the characters already. Hakufu, the main character. She’s not all that bright, but she does know how to fight (it rhymes). Hakufu was more or less a random choice for this team. The jersey was actually a lot of fun to draw, I had to take my time with the stripes on the sleeves, and the font on the jersey was unique to this team, but overall it wasn’t too much of a hassle. The challenge here was obviously location, but after the ones I’d done before this, it wasn’t too much of an issue.

What I Like Most:
I really love this pose! I can’t remember where I got it from, but I had to give it a try once I saw it. I really like how her hair came out as well, I spent a little more time than usual there, but I’m glad to see it was time well spent. The numbers came out very well even at that angle. Hakufu is a top-heavy character and she’s at an angle, so the numbers were more of a challenge than the last time, as well as the script logo on the uniform. That smile couldn’t have come out any better, I think that’s the best part of this one.

What I Dislike Most:
The same old issues came up here...I the hands issue, particularly her right hand did not come out very well here. Knowing me it was bound to happen sooner or later. I thought I had a method of doing hands by now, but it these things just don’t go right all the time. It took a lot of time to get a title, and I don’t really like that it all that much, but it’s really the best I could come up with.

Final Thoughts:
I appreciate all the favorites my drawings get, and I always will, but I like feedback as well. You don’t have to be afraid, I welcome feedback (as long as it’s a logical take). I’m interested in what you think about this. I won’t twist your arm, or put a gun to your head about this, so if you don’t comment, that’s fine too. I am enjoying doing this project, and it’s introduced me to some characters, and a few series that I may have never attempted on my own.
