The Story:
Part one of a two part request, Nanao Ise of “Bleach” wearing the Atlanta Falcons Black Alternate #7 uniform for as requested by jarron88.
My Breakdown:
Nanao twice in a row! Sometimes things just happen to work out this way. Last time, I decided to have her carrying that book, and after debating whether it should appear this time, I eventually decided that this one would be better without it, opting for somewhat of an authoritative pose here which I thought fits her. I’ve had plenty of practice doing these jerseys now, so I’m glad to say that I don’t have many issues with these, just as long as I pay attention to the minor details, everything should be fine. I am very fond of the “trading card” design that I’ve been using lately, and I’ll probably keep using that until I get tired of it, or the picture warrants something different. I am not too fond of the open space behind the character though, I’m sure I’ll figure out how to fill that space soon enough.
What I Like Most:
Even though I think I could have done better, I like the shape of her body. I had to go over this a second time to get it right, but I am pleased with the end result. Her hands came out well this time, I had to do something I had done before with them, but as long as they come out well, I’ll be happy with it.
What I Dislike Most:
I did not distort the number around her chest. It’s a pretty basic step which has gotten much easier with all the practice I got from doing it so many times. I didn’t like how I did her hair, not just this time, but both times, I could have put some more effort there. There is a disturbing trend that I’ve noticed lately, I’ve gotten away from all the folds and creases in the jerseys, and though it’s really just a cosmetic issue, it just shows I’m getting too lazy for the smaller details.
Final Thoughts:
This has been a fun project for me, and it’s one that I’d like to keep going for as long as it will go.
